Twitter Removes 140 Character Limit On Direct Messages!

June 12th/2015

Twitter has announced a series of changes are on the way to the social media platform.

One of the upcoming changes is the removal of the 140 character limit on direct messages. As of July, users will officially be able to send longer private messages to each other.

Twitter confirmed the rumour on their blog saying; “We’ve done a lot to improve Direct Messages over the past year and have much more exciting work on the horizon.” Normal tweets, however, will still have a 140 character limit.
