Makers of the smash hit platformer Meat Boy, have revealed we gradually could be getting a Super Meat Boy 2.
Team Meat’s Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes, are currently working on their upcoming mobile title Super Meat Boy Forever, and have announced that it has inspired them to make a proper Meat Boy sequel.
“There were aspects of Forever that were moves that Meat Boy did… that we were prototyping that felt like they could be better used in a sequel,” said McMillen. “The future of Meat Boy is definitely up in the air, but a sequel is something that I wouldn’t be opposed to doing even though we both said that we wouldn’t do it.”
McMillen also noted, “We wouldn’t even be mentioning anything about a sequel if we didn’t feel like it was realistic enough.
Back in June Team Meat announced Playstation Plus members would be enjoying Super Meat Boy free, when it makes it’s long awaited Playstation debut, this fall.
Although pretty close, Team Meat hasn’t quite officially announced the sequel.
