Facebook went down for a good 30-45 minutes today, causing the site to be inaccessible for many users around the world – for the 2nd time this week.
The issue was quickly corrected (within 30-45 minutes), and a rep for the site clarified the problem and issued the following statement to CNBC.
”We’re currently restoring Facebook services that people had trouble accessing earlier today due to a configuration issue. We’re working to bring things back to normal for everyone.”
The popular social network’s website and mobile app went down, while their Instagram & Messenger services were unaffected.
Facebook also suffered from a similar outage on September 17th and September 24th aswell – which caused widespread outages on desktop & mobile functions.
