StarWars Battlefront To Have NO Microtransactions!

Game developer DICE has officially announced that StarWars: Battlefront will have no microtransactions.

The highly anticipated game does feature in-game credits, but they will be strictly awarded for gameplay performance only.

“The credits that you use to buy things in the game are earned. You play the game, complete challenges, and that’s how you get credits,” says Battlefront Design Director Niklas Fegraeus. “This is a progression system based on your gameplay performance.”

This is great news and it seems like the right move because most developers now-a-days are trading a good-ol-fashion grinding game, for a microtransaction model. Some cases it works amazing, while some cases it doesn’t – as people can basically buy their way through the game.

What do you think? Are you happy StarWars: Battlefront doesn’t have microtransactions? Would you rather that model? Comment and let us know what you think!

If you can’t wait for Battlefront’s November 17th/2015 release date, you can get your hands on the beta from Oct 8th – Oct 12th. Click here for full details!
