Sony has recently confirmed that Evolution Studios, the developers behind MotorStorm and DriveClub, will be shutting it’s doors.
“Where possible we will try to reallocate people onto other projects,” says Sony’s statement. “If appropriate opportunities are not possible within the company, we will assist staff in any way we can, including speaking with local employers and with other development companies.”
Although a great looking game, Driveclub’s rocky release paired with recent layoffs caused the studio to have difficulty bouncing back.
We’d like to take the time to wish everyone at Evolution Studios good luck with their future endeavors.
