Wondering how to take a screenshot on the iPhone X but aren’t entirely sure how? Screenshots are a popular and useful way to save or share anything you see on screen. Over the years this was done on the iPhone by simply clicking on both the Home and Power buttons at the same time.

Seeing as how the Home button is now non-existent on the iPhone X due to it’s infinity edge display, you may be asking yourself, how do you capture the screen on iPhone X?

How To Screenshot On iPhone X (iOS 11)

#1) Open the app or screen you want to capture.

#2) Press and hold the lock button on the right side of the iPhone X.

#3) Click the Volume Up button at the exact same time.

#4) The screen will flash white to confirm you have successfully taken the screenshot.

After taking a screenshot on iOS 11 you will notice it minimizes to the bottom corner of the screen. This allows you to take advantage of four new screenshot options.

#1) You can leave the thumbnail alone. It will disappear after a few moments and save itself to your Photos library.

#2) You can swipe it off the screen and it will save to your Photos.

#3) You can long-press on the thumbnail to send it using the iOS sharing options.

#4) You can tap on the thumbnail to enter Markup mode. This allows you to edit and share your screenshot without having to save it to your Photos library.
